This year CASSCOMM connected with over 30 not-for-profit organizations during the holiday season and was able to make donations totaling over Ten Thousand dollars. This new fiber optic service will give residents and businesses there the ability to obtain speeds of 1 Gigabit and higher symmetrical download and upload speeds. CASSCOMM will also offer VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) home phone services, & IPTV (Internet Protocol Television).

VIRGINIA, IL, October 25, 2022 – CASSCOMM is continuing construction in Pleasant Plains, IL to upgrade their current coax system to Fiber to the Home services. Pleasant Plains businesses currently have the option to receive fiber optic services and CASSCOMM is now excited to begin connecting residents. The fiber optic services will allow residents the ability to have gigabyte symmetrical speeds (equal download and upload speeds). Also with this fiber upgrade CASSCOMM will launch a new TV platform called “CASSCOMM TV”. This new platform offers a crisper image, a more compact digital box, a streaming app, and even cloud DVR ability.
VIRGINIA, IL, July 27, 2022 – CASSCOMM is saddened to announce the recent passing of founder and Chairman of the Board Gerald E. Gill.
In the early 1960’s Mr. Gill answered the call to return home to Virginia to manage his family’s business- Cass County Telephone Company (CCTC). Seeing the value of what was then a new technology, Cass Community Antenna Television, Inc. (CATV) was formed in 1965 to serve Beardstown, Illinois, with what was to become cable television service. CCTC and CATV have evolved into CASSCOMM which provides telephone, television, long distance, and internet service to over 30 communities in central Illinois.
VIRGINIA, IL, April 15, 2022 – CASSCOMM has recently start construction in Manito, IL to upgrade their current coax system to Fiber to the Home services. This will allow the Manito residents the ability to get symmetrical speeds up to one Gigabyte. Manito businesses currently can or are able to receive fiber optic services and now we are excited to begin connecting residents.
VIRGINIA, IL, August 13, 2021 – CASSCOMM will soon start construction in Beardstown, IL to upgrade their current coax system to Fiber to the Home services. This will allow the Beardstown residents the ability to get symmetrical speeds up to one Gigabyte. Many Beardstown businesses currently have the ability to receive fiber optic services and we are now excited to begin connecting residents. The fiber optic services will allow residents new symmetrical speeds and also let them take advantage of the new “CASSCOMM TV” service.
VIRGINIA, IL, December 31, 2020 – CASSCOMM is connecting homes and businesses to their fiber optic network in the Village of South Jacksonville. CASSCOMM’s fiber to the home service will give residents the ability to receive symmetrical internet speeds of up to 1 gigabyte per second. High-definition video and digital phone services are also available. CASSCOMM will be notifying residents when service is available in specific neighborhoods as construction progresses.
VIRGINIA, IL, August 31, 2020 – CASSCOMM is known for its reliable and local services of broadband, Cable Tv and telephone services throughout Central Illinois. CASSCOMM is excited to bring fiber optic services to the residents of South Jacksonville. The new fiber optic services will give everyone in the village, residents and businesses, the ability to obtain speeds of up to 1 gigabyte of fiber optic services that they have not been able to receive yet, along with tv and telephone as well. CASSCOMM has partnered with the village to help provide better services to the municipalities. Residents can already see construction crews in the village. Residents will be notified during the construction process on updates and progress of the build. Once the process is close to completion, we will start reaching out to residents and businesses to schedule installations.
VIRGINIA, IL, March 19, 2020 – In order to help their communities stay connected and follow social distancing recommendations, CASSCOMM announced that it is following the “Keep Americans Connected” Pledge that reads as follows: ”Given the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on American society, our company pledges for the next 60 days to: (1) not terminate services to any residential or small business customers because of their inability to pay their bills due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic; (2) waive any late fees that any residential or small business customers incur because of their economic circumstances related to the coronavirus pandemic; and (3) open its Wi-Fi hotspots to any American who needs them.”
